A well known community centre in the neighborhood, Douglas Park is in needs of establishing a online platform that allows nearby residents to retrieve the latest information about the community as well as the ability to register community courses online. That is when they approached Leap Creative to consult for a clean and easy and intuitive visual layout suitable for the seniors to navigate and retrieve information. For conveninent updates, we implemented Adobe Contribute, giving Douglas Park controls to the webpage to make simple edits and updates.

Role: I participated in the entire production process from concept to the code production to establish a look and feel focusing on seniors’ usability. During the code production phase, I collaborate closely with the developers at the City of Vancouver, to integrate the City’s courses database in order to retrieve all courses information into the website.
The author of The Osteoporosis Book Gwen approached Leap Creative Group to rebrand her 3rd edition of The Osteoporosis Book. After long collaboration with the client, it would be a good marketing too to launch a web version of the book to at the same time as the book’s launch date. During the design process for the website, we took the target audience’s background into consideration, applying simpler layout, less pages and larger typefaces to increase the ease of use for the site. The ultimate goal of this website is to establish a web portal for all Osteoporosis related information in a friendly and easy to understand manner. In additional, we developed the website with Wordpress as the backbone for easy maintenance and updates from the client’s end.

Role: After the new brand identity is performed, I participated in the Web Design stage based on the brand establishment and the characteristics of the end user. I was also involved majorly on the web development, establishing a Content Management System through Wordpress and customize it to satisfy client’s needs.
Po Lam Buddhist Association approaches Unifine Creative for a Content Management System driven website that requires a powerful Course Management System to handle their students registration and courses organization. Because we have never dealt with any Courses Management System before, we were extremely interested in participating with this project. The process was difficult yet enjoyable, understanding the clients and the end users have minimal computer experience, we were dedicated in designing a system that is as intuitive as possible for the clients to maintain and for the users to register for courses.

Role: In this project, I acted as the project manager, dealing with issues between the client and our team on budgeting and scheduling. Secondly, I was also the designer and developer on the website’s interface. Lastly, I participated in the creative workshop with clients and my team to explore and design the Users and Information flow of the potential Course Management System. This is a crucial step that involves communications from all parties so that my developers can execute the project more efficiently.
This is the first annual report being established online by CRNBC revolving the theme of “Evolution”. During our design stage, we developed a series of visual approaches that best illustrates the theme to their audience based on today’s most interactive techniques used in web today. After a series of creative workshops with CRNBC, we concluded that this website serves its best potential to their audience with a more traditional web approach, allowing audience who are generally older in age with less acceptances to the web world.

Role: My role in this project is to researching for more advance interactive web techniques that can be implemented into the web site. The purpose is to establish a strong impression on this year’s CRNBC theme “Evolution”. Once the final concept was developed, I was responsible in the production work of building the entire website.
CRNBC has been working with us for the past 3 years developing a series of Online Learning Modules for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners from the entire BC province to review and refresh their daily nursing practice. These modules are used as guidelines for users to evaluate their own individual work experience and knowledge in their respective field. Understanding the needs for the large group of audience, we decided to use Powerpoint as the backbone and Articulate to handle the final publishing format that enable us to develop powerful and dynamic Online Learning Modules that handles both voiceover and animations in the most effective way.

Role: I was responsible in designing a warm and fuzzy interface that makes it more welcoming for users to read through the Online Learning Modules. Once the interface is designed, it is implemented into Powerpoint for animations and voiceover development.
Bodwell High School is a top notch private High School located in North Vancouver. With their previous website getting out of date and lacking the ability to handle updates, they approached Unifine Creative to seek for web solutions. Understanding their needs to do self-maintenance with ease, we decided to develop the website through Wordpress, providing them the ability of self-maintenance within a budget that they are comfortable with. During the project, we encountered obstacles such as a Translation system and dynamic Calendar for Events listing that didn’t integrate with the CMS properly, however we took on the challenge collectively and successfully implemented all functions into the Content Management System for Bodwell High School

Role: I was the project manager and designer for this project, handling the business side to communication with Bodwell and our developers on their needs and feedbacks. On the other hand, I was the main designer for this project, establishing the look and feel of the site and how information flows within the structure of the site that creates the most engaging and pleasing experience for users to navigate.
Yishu is a bi-monthly journal about today’s Contemporary Chinese Art targeted to Chinese Art lovers and post education scholars. Leap Creative Group has build a long relationship with Yishu over 10 years, providing design services on their journal’s production as well as Advertisements for other art publications.
